Canadian Religious Artist William Kurelek to get retrospective this summer

CANADA - The Art Gallery of Greater Victora (AGGV) will present a retrospective entitled, "William Kurelek: The Messenger" from May 25th through September 3rd 2012. Throughout a career that spanned from mid-1950s until his death, William Kurelek (1927-1977) and his art was a chronicler of the cultural experiences of various cultural groups including Jewish, Irish, Inuit, and in later years was deeply influenced by his conversion to Roman Catholicism.
