This week's Holy-day Art: Christian, Jewish, and Hindu
Posted on 23:01 by the great khali
There was an unusual confluence of religious holy-days this past week. Of course, the 40-days of Christian "LENT" continues (view artworks), but also on March 8, both the Jewish and Hindu traditions marked joyous celebrations. The Jewish holy-day of "PURIM" marks liberation from attempts at extermination (view artwork); and the Hindu holy-day named "HOLI" (named after a demoness of fire) which marks another triumph of good over evil (view artwork). Visit the Holy-Day Art page for more.
