ALPHA OMEGA ARTS

The Lorax is a children's book written by Dr. Seuss about the tree loving Lorax and the greedy Onceler. When the Onceler shows up, he notices a forest of truffula trees and begins to cut them all down (yes, all down) to make money, and this weekend the movie version takes to the screen. But BIG HOLLYWOOD, the extremist critics of all pop culture hates it. They wrote, "'The Lorax’s' message machine all but shouts its disdain for capitalism – just disregard those 3D glasses meant to squeeze every last nickel out of movie goers." At the same time, Entertainment Weekly called it, "Touching and vibrant," and the The Los Angeles Times took a middle ground, noting it "fails to maintain the spirit of the original [book]." Good enough sampling? It's at the top of my movie list tonight. What's on your list?
